finally went for a fish today with the newly modified tub with a mate launched from metung this morning.

fished shallow first up managed a descent flattie of around 40-45cm hit the net and wriggled out and gone...bugger....

fished a few jetty walls and rock walls, no good, getting warm.

went for a scoot up to Nungurner, targeted moared boats and drop offs.

managed a small salmon after nothing from the boats, focused on the drop off which from all the follows over the area was a fish highway.

managed a small sambo.

chopped and changed lures, fish followed but just didnt commit, frustrating to say the least.

finally managed a medium sized taylor in a cove we came to with follows from bream that we just couldnt hook.

after a bit in the cove we moved to a rock point, flicked lightly weighted real plastics sub surface got a follow from a big breambo but no hook up.

moved around rock point and bang, mate got on to a nice sambo, spot locked threw a BREAMIN45 on in the new custom black colour and thats where we stayed for the rest of the arvo cracking sambos up to 40cm. ( 2-3 hours ), double hook ups a plenty.

they would move around chasing bait, we'd see them smashing bait on the surface so we chased the school also sound and trolled for them until we got a hook up

on light bream gear for sure pound for pound they go hard, having the sol reel with screaming runs.

so from a slow start to a cracking arvo finish, a pretty good day.
